🥚 What’s the Story Behind Penguin Panic?
In Penguin Panic, you play as Penny, a sweet penguin mother who has lost her eggs. They’ve been stolen by evil walruses and hidden in places that are hard to reach — especially for a penguin! Some eggs are tucked away in icy snow levels, which feel like home to Penny. But she’ll also need to retrieve eggs from scorching deserts and tropical jungles.
The eggs are about to hatch, so Penny has no time to waste. She must run, climb, and jump her way across dangerous terrain to hug her newborn chicks in time. On the way, she must collect enough fish to feed them. If she succeeds and reaches the egg, she’ll burst into a joyful dance — just as her baby chick floats away into the world with a balloon.
🎮 How Do You Play Penguin Panic?
You’ll start with a tutorial level to get a feel for Penny’s movement, jumps, and climbing. After that, there are 10 levels of varying difficulty to conquer.
Each level has a time limit to reach the egg and a required number of fish to collect. If you manage both, you earn 3 stars. Reach the egg in time but fall short on fish? That’s 2 stars. If you miss both, you get 1 star.
To unlock new levels, you’ll need to gather enough stars and fish. The final level requires 4,000 fish and 26 stars, so there’s plenty of challenge ahead!
Here’s a fun bonus: every level has a secret — it could be a hidden cave, a hard-to-reach ledge, or even an entire bonus level with extra rewards.
👨👩👧👦 Who’s It For?
Penguin Panic is a game for all ages. While it requires a bit of dexterity, younger players may find themselves especially at home here. But don’t let that stop you if you’re young at heart!
We designed the game with our own children in mind, ranging from 5 to 11 years old. They tested it extensively — and their verdict was a big thumbs up. That’s what we made it for!
You can play Penguin Panic on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. No internet connection required, so it’s perfect for playing on a plane, train, or anywhere offline.

Penguin Panic was released under the Seven Mages label — that’s us: Bowie Derwort and myself (Jeroen Derwort). As for the other five mages? Their identities remain a mystery. If you feel a calling, let us know 😉
This is our first game project together since Online Soccer Manager (OSM), Bondscoachspel, Plaza Challenge, Poule & Play, and Match of the Week. Our journey began even earlier with Avalon, a role-playing game we built together in 1998.
As with our previous games, we combined our skills: Bowie handled the visual design and creative direction, while I took care of the technical implementation.
It was quite the undertaking — but once again, we’ve created a game we’re proud of. I truly hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.
